According to Dad Jeff: "It wasn't about getting rich—it was about needing less money. It was about owning our own land—of being debt free. And now we spend way less time working, and way more time doing whatever we want."
Mom Rose adds that in 2011 the family bought a "beautiful, forested 40 acre piece of land."
According to the couple they keep everything "small and simple"—while the land provides everything they need including most of their food.

It is definitely a life very different from what most people are accustomed to—but it looks like it could be wonderful too.
