BIG "WILD" CATS Like Boxes Too!

Hi!

Through the years I've had several domestic pet cats.

If you've ever spent time around one you know that if you out a box down that they will soon be investigating every inch of it—in and around it—batting at anything that passes nearby, chewing at the edges, and basically turning it into a kitty outpost they guard over, sleep in, and play with.

Recently, I found another video from http://bigcatrescue.org revealing that even the "big 'wild' cats" (tigers, lions, leopards, etc) love boxes too.

Cool Video: Happy Fish LOVES To Be Petted And Played With

Hi!

I hafta admit—through the years I've never really understood having fish as a pets.

I've known many people who kept them however—and though they are beautiful—I never found them very interesting for long.

Today's video changed that—at least a little—for me.

It shows a gorgeous orange fish enjoying attention from its owner—playfully swimming around for strokes its nose, and rubs on its head and sides—and even gently allowing it to be cupped in his hands.

The video maker's description adds:

"My Fish Loves Me — He would rather play than eat.

This little guy just loves to watch me wherever I am in the room, he'll do anything to get my attention. And when I look at him he flares out his gills and dances from side to side just hoping that I'll come over to play. If I drop food in the aquarium he'll ignore it and hope to play. I have to walk away to get him to go find the food which has floated away by then."

For the first time, I thought about all those fish I've simply observed in their tanks—not even imagining that with some of them there might be more going on behind that glass.

Hope you enjoy this video too.

AWESOME Vid: Do BIG CATS Like Fish?

Hi!

If you love cats, then today's video will give you the "warm and fuzzies."

As I've written elsewhere—I LOVE cats—from domestic kitties to magnificent African lions—and everything in between.

So when I saw this video from the folks at Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida—I KNEW I wanted to share it with you here.

http://bigcatrescue.org

Apparently these rescue cat's normal diets consist of red meat—but the video shows a worker feeding them fresh fish—and recording their reactions.

Most of the cats (a jaguar, cougar, serval, caracal, bobcat, and so on) gobble the the morsels down—although at the end the video shows several of these majestic felines who weren't impressed with their sea-food offerings.

My favorite—and popular with commenters as well—shows one cat, Simba, a Savannah (at 53 seconds), who quickly devours several pieces while making a loud "num-num" sound.

It's very interesting to see how different each cat's personality is—some are very aggressive—while others seem more like docile house cats.

Anywho—hope you enjoy this video as much as I did.

Fascinating Video - 720 Ton Dragline Excavator Moved From Island

Hi,

Just found a very impressive video showing a HUGE, 720 ton 'dragline' excavator being moved.

Photo Credit:  David Drew 2008 -  Wikipedia Article On 'Dragline' Excavators

The video shows a water channel being widened to the left of of the MASSIVE machine—and then the dragline excavator pulls mounds of rock and soil into the water to the right.

Then bulldozers help move and level that area and ultimately the GIGANTIC excavator "walks" off the island.

Even though the video quality is very low—I think it was fascinating to watch.

Hope you enjoy it too.

AWESOME Video: Self Loading & Unloading Monkey Catcher

Hi!,

I just stumbled across a very interesting video shot in India.

It's description says:

"Monkey's are troublesome pests in India's urban areas, they carry dangerous diseases such as rabies.

Its dangerous work catching them by hand, they'll gang up on a human if threatened, so these traps are used."

In the end, the video shows the cage as seen in the image below, being completely filled with a troop of monkey's that all clamber inside.
