Can You Believe What You See? Advertisers Using CG To Sell Their Cars

Hi!

If you've watched any Marvel movies lately — or any number of Hollywood blockbuster movies — you are no doubt aware of how much computer's have changed the ability for film makers to create almost anything on the screen.

What fewer people may be aware of — is that advertisers are using the same technology to sell us their products.

Case in point from the video below:  A company called the Mill has a vehicle called the  BLACKBIRD.

It is a fully adjustable car rig that allows computer graphic bodies to be placed over it without the need to rely on a physical car.

The frame and wheel base can be lengthened or shortened to approximate any vehicle and allows manufacturers to shoot at at any time, in any location — even before final designs are finished on a production model.

The video shows exactly how this works in action.

Check it out — and then wonder: Can You Believe Anything You See On TV?

AMAZING Street Performer - Hit The Road Jack - Acapella

Hi!

I just stumbled across a pretty cool performance from the TV Show X-Factor, New Zealand.

In the video below you'll see and hear a 20-Year Old Street Performer create an amazing acapella version of "Hit The Road Jack," by layering in a number of different parts with effects pedals — imitating drums, bass and even horn parts — and adding vocals over the top.

The judges and audience were mesmerized — and I was too.

Give it a spin and see if you aren't as well.

Video: BEAUTIFUL Wire Sculpture By Fantasywire

Hi!

A few years ago I took an intro sculpting class and really enjoyed it.

One of the project was creating a wire sculpture.

I chose to create a dragonfly and made it with about a two foot wide wing span.

It turned out pretty well and a classmate offered to buy it — but since it was my first sculpture like it — I decided to keep it.

Today I found an AMAZING video and photos of a LARGE wire sculpture called 1 O'clock Wish by Robin Wright — aka Fantasywire.

In some of the links about it she also refers to this sculpture as "Dancing with Dandelions" as well.

Pictures of it are awesome — but the video of it spinning on it's base really gives you the full impact of this incredible piece.
