I just watched an enthralling video and wanted to share it with you.
If you love big cats like I do — this may be a little hard to watch — but it all turns out OK for the lion in the end.

Sometimes we think of lions as apex predators who can take on any other animal that dares to confront them.
But this video shows that a single lion is really no match for a pack of determined hyenas.

Beautifully shot by BBC Earth — it shows the pack of as many as twenty "laughing" hyenas attacking the poor lion.
Fortunately — the big cat does have an ally listening in nearby.
