Pixar Animation has done it again—and if you love a good heart-warming story with cute and awesome characters—then the video below is just for you.
Screen Captures From Pixar's Smash And Grab
The video's description on YouTube does an excellent job of giving a short synopsis:
Smash And Grab "is about two antiquated robots who risk everything for freedom and for each other after years of toiling away inside the engine room of a towering locomotive."
He has a number of excellent videos featuring him performing all kinds of music, but it's safe to say that he leans towards older standards and jazz chtunes.
My introduction to him came through a video of him singing, 'I'm Gonna Sit Right Down And Write Myself A Letter,' and you'll find that embedded below.
Written in 1935 it's become part of the classic American "songbook" and has been performed by
a wide variety of artists from Fats Waller's seminal version—to Nat
King Cole, Sinatra, Paul McCartney, and many others.
I love the "hangdog" humor in this song (lyrics are under the vid), and Itso's performance of it is perfect.
Even if you don't agree about the music—the video also features Isto's beautiful doggy in the background—humorously and impatiently trying to get his master to throw a ball.
Isto and His Poochie From The Video Below
Obviously, they have spent a lot of time together—and at the end of the song the pooch is finally rewarded with a toss—and they begin to play as the video ends. IMHO it's a fun and heart warming video.
Check it out and see if you don't agree.
PS: Isto does a minute long guitar intro and the video is cued to start right as he begins singing—so you can use your controls if you wanna see it from the beginning.
: )
Enjoy!
I'm Gonna Sit Right Down And Write Myself A Letter - Lyrics
I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter
And make believe it came from you
I'm gonna write words, oh, so sweet
They're gonna knock me off my feet
Kisses on the bottom
I'll be glad I've got 'em
I'm gonna smile and say "I hope you're feelin' better"
And close "with love" the way you do
I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter
And make believe it came from you
I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter And make believe it came from you I'm gonna write words, oh, so sweet They're gonna knock me off my feet Kisses on the bottom I'll be glad I've got 'em
I'm gonna smile and say "I hope you're feelin' better"
And sign "with love" just like you do
I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter
And make believe it came from you
And make believe it came from you

Todays' video shows a very lucky motorcyclist in Thailand nearly getting crushed by a toppling 40 foot long metal shipping container and 18-wheeler that was speeding around a curve on a highway there.
Screen Capture From The Video: Motorcyclist Nearly Crushed By Shipping Container
The frightening scene was captured by a driver with a dash-cam on March 21, 2019—who had begun slowing down perhaps anticipating the danger the truck posed.
A cyclist races around the slowing car—but something causes the rider to react and quickly slow down as well—saving his life just in the nick of time.
Reportedly, there were no injuries to anyone including the hapless truck-driver.
It really is amazing to watch!

The world is filled with talented people who in years past might have labored in obscurity in their local area.
Now television talent shows allow these amazing folks to share themselves with the world.
In 2017, Ukraine's Got Talent - Kids presented the world with the considerable singing and yodeling abilities of a young Sofia Shkdchenko—who was just 11 years old when she appeared on the program—and you'll find a video of her performance included below.
Screen Capture From The Video
The video is embedded to start after an introduction and just before she begins to sing—at about 2 minutes in.
