Video: Man Plays Beethoven Piano Sonata For 61 Year Old Elephant
Today's post features a video of pianist Paul Barton playing Beethoven's “Moonlight Sonata” for an elderly elephant called Mongkol.
According to the video's description:
Mongkol spent his life "hauling trees in the Thai forest and lost his right eye and tusk" during that time.
"Mongkol was brought to Elephants World to spend the rest of his days relaxing peacefully in freedom by the River Kwai."
Paul adds. "I discovered Mongkol is an extremely gentle, sensitive elephant who enjoys music."
It's wonderful to see the old elephant gently swaying to the music and learn that he can now enjoy his retirement from all his hard labor.
