Hi,
Our world has changed a LOT in the last 100 years or so—but thankfully there is still evidence left of a time long before our modern age of ubiquitous cars—AND every one's face glued to a cell-phone screen.
🙃
The video below shows a fascinating view of street scenes from 1911's New York City—and for our modern sensibilities—sound effects have been added to the old silent footage.

It's notable—while automobiles and streetcars are seen—that horses, and carriages and wagons were still widely used at the time.

It's also interesting to see that the majority of men and women were "dressed-up"—the men in suits and ties—and the women in dresses—and almost all were sporting hats.
Also—as it was a time long before the modern era of processed and fast-food—there are virtually no obese people.
A viewer on YouTube left this intriguing "food-for-thought" comment under the video—although as of today it has been viewed more than 5.8 million times!
